Nine Diagnostics CEO Freddy Nguyen presents at MIT Health Science Forum 2025

Nine Diagnostics CEO Freddy T. Nguyen, MD, PhD delivered an MIT Startup Exchange Lightning Talk at the 2025 MIT Health Science Forum, hosted by the MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) and MIT Startup Exchange on May 8, 2025. The forum convened MIT researchers, global industry leaders, and select startups advancing transformative healthcare innovation.

The event focused on five areas shaping the future of healthcare: AI for biomolecular modeling, biomanufacturing for cell and gene therapies, drug delivery, precision oncology, and advanced diagnostics. The format brought together thought leaders and early-stage companies for cross-sector dialogue and exploration of translational partnerships across biomedical domains.

Nguyen’s talk, “Determining Treatment Effectiveness, Discovering New Biology Using AI-Enabled Nanosensor Technology,” highlighted Nine Diagnostics’ nanosensor and AI platform for treatment monitoring and biomarker discovery. The presentation described how the platform integrates multidimensional data, including proteomic, metabolomic, and lipidomic signals alongside patient demographics and clinical context, into a unified framework for precision oncology applications.

Selection for the MIT Health Science Forum reflects Nine Diagnostics’ growing recognition within the MIT innovation ecosystem and the broader life sciences community, and its alignment with MIT’s mission to drive impactful translation from science to clinical practice.

About Nine Diagnostics

Nine Diagnostics is an AI-enabled multi-omic nanosensor company advancing precision medicine. The platform simultaneously captures proteomic, metabolomic, and lipidomic signals alongside patient clinical context to generate a multi-omic fingerprint, using machine learning to identify disease-relevant patterns without requiring prior knowledge of which biomarkers matter. This enables pre-treatment patient stratification, on-treatment response monitoring, and post-treatment minimal residual disease detection. Founded by Freddy T. Nguyen, MD, PhD (CEO), Daniel A. Heller, PhD (CSO), and Mijin Kim, PhD (Scientific Advisor), Nine Diagnostics is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
