Nine Diagnostics Selected for Medical Alley Q3 Innovation Showcase

Nine Diagnostics selected for Medical Alley Innovation Showcase

On September 22, 2025, Nine Diagnostics presented at the Q3 Medical Alley Innovation Showcase at the CLA Connection Center in Eagan, Minnesota, one of six companies selected to present within Minnesota’s broader health innovation ecosystem.

Organized by the Medical Alley Association, the quarterly Innovation Showcase connects emerging healthcare companies with the region’s investment and strategic partner community. Medical Alley describes itself as the epicenter of health innovation and care, anchoring a network of more than 800 partner organizations that includes Mayo Clinic, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and UnitedHealth Group, alongside a dense concentration of academic medical centers and early-stage health technology investors. The program was emceed by Ping Yeh of VocXi Health and followed by a VIP networking reception.

The selection extended Nine Diagnostics’ visibility within one of the most concentrated healthcare innovation ecosystems in the country, connecting the company with venture capital firms, strategic partners, and family offices actively investing in the next generation of health technology.

The showcase format, pairing structured pitches with direct access to this investor and strategic partner network, reflects the growing overlap between precision oncology diagnostics and the broader health technology investment landscape that Medical Alley’s ecosystem represents.

Nine Diagnostics’ AI-enabled nanosensor platform is built on published peer-reviewed validation. In Nature Nanotechnology (Goerzen et al., 2026), the platform demonstrated 98% accuracy in brain tumor detection and 71% accuracy in tumor type identification across 739 patient samples at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Northwestern University, and NYU, representing the first multi-site clinical validation of the approach. In Nature Biomedical Engineering (Kim et al., 2022), the platform demonstrated 87% sensitivity and 98% specificity for high-grade serous ovarian cancer detection across 269 patient samples.

This work forms the scientific foundation of Nine Diagnostics, co-founded in 2024 by Freddy T. Nguyen, MD, PhD, Daniel A. Heller, PhD, and Mijin Kim, PhD.

About Nine Diagnostics

Nine Diagnostics is an AI-enabled multi-omic nanosensor company advancing precision medicine. The platform simultaneously captures proteomic, metabolomic, and lipidomic signals alongside patient clinical context to generate a multi-omic fingerprint, using machine learning to identify disease-relevant patterns without requiring prior knowledge of which biomarkers matter. This enables pre-treatment patient stratification, on-treatment response monitoring, and post-treatment minimal residual disease detection. Founded by Freddy T. Nguyen, MD, PhD (CEO), Daniel A. Heller, PhD (CSO), and Mijin Kim, PhD (Scientific Advisor), Nine Diagnostics is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
